About Us

Mission

We work to protect the history and traditions of Phi Mu Fraternity though organizing, education and advocacy by striving to live up to the ideals of founders Mary Ann DuPont Lines, Mary Elizabeth Myrick Daniel and Martha Bibb Hardaway Redding.

Vision

Our vision is that Phi Mu Fraternity remains a fraternal organization for women honoring the Judeo-Christian values of founding sisters, Mary Ann DuPont Lines, Mary Elizabeth Myrick Daniel and Martha Bibb Hardaway Redding.

What we believe

  • We are a group of collegiate and alumna Phi Mu sisters who value and honor our founders, history, and tradition. We take pride in being members of the second oldest fraternal organization for women, with its rich 171 year history.
  • We are a diverse group of women who believe that single sex organizations provide an empowering vital purpose for women. We believe that Phi Mu women deserve the right to be in safe women only spaces.
  • We oppose attempts to remove God and religion from our Creed as we have a deep respect for our founders and the ideals our organization was founded on.
  • We strive every day to uphold the ideals of Mary, Mary, and Martha as we, “Practice day by day love, honor, and truth. Thus being true to the meaning, spirit, and reality of Phi Mu.”
